hello

Its been a hot minute since I've been on any Journal platform, but it's good to be back.4 years ago in May, I had a stroke. It affected my left side so I had to learn to walk again. My left arm/hand may never be used again it's good thing I'm right handed. I used to be able to type 45 wpm but its reduced since it's one handed typing which is why I stayed away from fanfiction and journal writing. with one hand I'm at 15 wpm.
I've returned to fanfiction in a new fandom and different genre although I'm still in love with my past fandoms. My current fic can be found at my Wattpad account (CoraCrawley14) where I'm on a Downton Abbey/Period drama kick.

Things have been pretty good considering although it's sad how many friendships one loses when you're stricken with a stroke. This isn't just me. I've spoken to many Stroke survivors whose friends have disappeared. it's said that these people are scared and not sure how to act. Do they not realize we're the scared ones and it takes time to adjust to our new normal? you can't ask because they're gone. Even though there are times you want to send an email to see how they're doing to go back yo what was. You know there's a danger of being hurt again but you don't care because there's nothing like losing oneself and your dearest friends at the same time.

I'm so glad you're HERE!!

I've been avoiding Facebook for awhile now and Twitter is nice because there's no real time commitment. But MAN I have missed you.

HUG HUG HUG (Wish I could do this in person. I'd never let you go!)
